FAQ
General
Do you allow a parent or someone else to come along on a shoot?
I do allow it. Although I would like to point out that jealous boyfriends are not appropriate to bring with you.
I have a contract, but I don't use it unless the model specifically asks for it, or when the model is a minor.
I don't work exclusively with girls/women but I prefer them. I would like to shoot some men, but I'm extremely picky in choosing the guys I shoot with for a lot of reasons. I would like to shoot some children too, but that's something I still have to try out.
What kind of shoots do you do?
I'm open for a lot of things. If you browse through my gallery, or check out my portfolio, you'll get an idea of the shoots I usually do. If you want something special, feel free to ask.
Do you work with a make up artist, and do you own clothing for shoots?
I know a few make up artists, but they all charge money for their work. So if you absolutely want a professional make up artist for your shoot, the price of the shoot will increase. About clothes: I don't have clothes for shoots. I'm currently on the lookout for some cool costumes like Lara Croft etc, so if I find these, I'm going to have to buy them, and I'll charge a few euros to make that money back.
I don't have a studio, although I posses all the right equipment to set one up! If you have a spare room in the house, or know a place where I can set up my gear( at least 5mx5m) I can arrange for a studioshoot without paying an actual studio. I can rent a studio in the center of Antwerp. They charge 60 euros for 4 hours, but everything's included. Most of my shoots take place outside. I have a few spots I know where I can shoot. If you see a nice place where you would like to shoot in one of my pictures, you can always ask me about it, although there's no guarantee we can shoot there. You're always welcome to propose a place to shoot.
It all depends. I work TFCD if you're experienced, and can show me your portfolio. I'm free to choose who ever I want for TFCD work. If your unexperienced the price will include a few things: The transport costs of me and my gear, the dvd, the length of the shoot, and any other unusual things. Since I'm only starting out, if you're from the province Antwerp, expect a price in the range of 40-60 euro.
Usually, I come home after the shoot, and I immediately start post processing the pictures. Depending on the amount of the pictures, and the kind of shoot, it takes around 2 hours to edit and upload the +-20 good pictures. If you absolutely want every picture, we can arrange for a dvd with al the pictures on them. I don't edit every picture as good as the 20 best ones, but I'll do the basic retouching. The dvd will be ready 1 week after the shoot.
What can I expect from a shoot concerning pictures?
In general I take around 200 pictures, all depending on the duration of the shoot. Through my experience I've learned that 10% of the amount of taken pictures are good ones. So you can expect around 20 super pictures.
